Dr. Daugherty founded Bone & Joint Specialists of Winchester in May of 2005. He had previously been part of the multi-specialty Winchester Surgical Clinic since moving to Winchester in July of 1977. He served as the team surgeon for John Handley High School through many successful seasons and has been inducted into their Hall of Fame for his contributions. He attended the College of William and Mary, receiving his Bachelor of Science/Biology Degree in 1966. He received his Medical Doctorate in 1970 from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his internship in general surgery at Ohio State University Hospitals before proceeding to his Orthopedic Residency at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. His professional interests include hip and knee replacements, shoulder surgery, fracture care, and sports medicine. He has also used his medical knowledge to serve those most in need and has been participating in medical missions for many years.
